Thanks to Fred Richardson for writing this detailed recap of what happened at the first IFPA Heads-Up Championship in Las Vegas.
Stay tuned for the quick debate on whether using action buttons is not pinball.
Occurs when the ball save light is on or flashing at the player and the ball drains, but no ball comes back.
During Multiball, the player is able to control the balls such that two balls are on one flipper and one ball is on the other flipper.
As the ball is travelling down the inlane, the player flips and holds the flipper just as the ball reaches the joint between the flipper and the bottom of the inlane guide.
An aggressively defensive move used to prevent the ball from travelling straight down the middle.
A flipper move that is used to pass the ball across the gap from one flipper to the other. This move is used when the ball is moving too quickly to be controlled on the original flipper, but not quite fast enough to reach the other flipper without assistance.
I start to ramble on this post. Also, I suggest that we eliminate purgatory altogether. I await your criticism.
… Then my mind folded in on itself, I got confused and my flipper activity devolved to random flailing.
