Slap Save

An aggressively defensive move used to prevent the ball from travelling straight down the middle.

As the ball is getting close to draining, the player quickly judges which flipper is closest to the ball. The player then hits the side of the game and flips the flipper at the same time. The player is hoping to get a small piece of the ball and deflect it away from danger.

In some, more desperate cases the player may need to slap and flip one side of the game and then immediately do the same to the other side in order to rescue the ball.
