The action of rapidly shaking the machine when the ball is on it’s way down the right inlane so that the ball can be caught and held on the right flipper, especially while playing the game Spider-man by STERN.

New Pinball Dictionary: Sam Harvey / Wicked Shimmy

To save a ball that is travelling down the outlane by shaking the game very quickly. This results in a succession of upward triangle jumps off of the inlane and outlane walls, which causes the ball to rise back up and return safely into play.
