Stern Media Day is in Optimus Prime’s rear view mirror. Here are a few perspectives from Players in attendance.

Grownup Adjacent

In part one of his extravaganza, Grownup Adjacent offers some quick thoughts on Transformers during his reserved time in the isolation booth (AKA an empty conference room) with an Premium version of the game.

While he’s playing, he shows the rest of us in the other room, analyzing gameplay as we eagerly await our time at bat. Look at us in our “learning stances” as if we are trying to get a Free Look at the bounces on a tournament game. Also there’s proof that I was also in attendance for this media day as I am in the middle of this shot. I’m probably thinking how I can use a multiball to extend my game time and learn more when it’s my turn to play.

In Part 2: He interviews some of the Media Day participants after our games to get initial impressions. I don’t know where I was during this — possibly playing some of the other games in Stern’s large lobby arcade area hunting for achievements. Featuring Retro Ralph, Andrew Retro Gamer, Vic VP, “Chad the Bird!”, and some closing thoughts from Grownup Adjacent.

COOLTOY

COOLTOY offers his fifteen-minute breakdown of Transformers including what makes up each model, analysis of artwork, code, usage of licensed assets, shot layout, his own first impressions.

What’s up with Optimus Prime transforming? (He does not.)

As you saw from the above video, Retro Ralph was also on the scene to experience the new game and he offers his detailed thoughts below.

Finally, here is the gameplay video produced by Stern Pinball released on the Saturday afterward. Featuring: Lead Game Designer, Elliot Eisman (Transformers, John Wick), Lead Software Developer, Elizabeth Gieske, Software Developer, Mike Kyzivat, and Game Designer, Jack Danger (Pokémon, Uncanny X-Men, Foo Fighters)

Dirty Pool Pinball

Wait! Not so fast, my friend! Finally, finally, we have reactions via livestream from Dirty Pool Pinball who reacted to the live gameplay video Stern posted. We can confirm that the game is definitely NOT Raven. “All praise the great god of pinball, The Great Pyramid!”
