Stern Media Day is in Optimus Prime’s rear view mirror. Here is what Players though of it:
Featuring: Grownup Adjacent, Retro Ralph, COOLTOY, Andrew Retro Gamer, Vic VP, “Chad the Bird!”, Dirty Pool Pinball, James Fremont, Lead Game Designer, Elliot Eisman, Lead Software Developer, Elizabeth Gieske, Software Developer, Mike Kyzivat, Game Designer, Jack Danger (Pokémon, Uncanny X-Men, Foo Fighters)
I had the privilege of playing a live tutorial of Pokémon by Stern Pinball, with Software Developer Tanio Klyce and Game Designer Jack Danger, in front of an audience at Texas Pinball Festival.
While Tanio and Jack were representing Stern, I was an independent representative of … well … myself. So, like the seminar attendees, I wanted to know what updates were being planned for this game.
I reinstalled a podcatcher app, and Slam Tilt with Bruce Nightingale and Ron Hallett was the pinball podcast I added back on my list of subscriptions. I am pleased to say this episode of Slam Tilt did not make me sad. 🙂 By the way, have a nice time on that cruise, Bruce.
Tilt Trek visits the showroom of recently minted Stern Dealer / Distributor, Lock Is Lit Pinball, to discuss the process of becoming one. Learn what he needed to do to get started and a few numbers you need to have handled to get it done. That’s right … a couple of real-world numbers are used in this conversation.
Be ready to defend or at least react to ball deflections, misses, even targets that you shoot on purpose. It’s a visceral translation of The Black Knight’s power.
(Who’s that guy on the far right side?!)

My “first look” review of the game from Stern Media Day
Pinball noobs (with 2.4M subscribers, so it doesn’t matter since you’ve got the numbers) get a Stern Dungeons and Dragons game to set up and are “just sending it”.
Enterprising tournament players can take on any obstacle in the way of qualifying for a championship, including reflections of the blinding sun’s rays.
Go ahead and destroy the financial district, Arvid. Make the people happy.
