Bail Out / Safety Valve
When you are flailing and unable to get control of the ball, this is a shot that moves the ball far away from the flippers for a short while. It helps you regain control of the game and can also give you time to think about your next move.
Example: One of my favorite bail out shots is an open Sandman hole on the game Spider-man.
Example: I see my Sandman safety valve is ready just in case the balls start to go out of control on the slingshots. This can help me regain control during Multiball.
