I do appreciate each time another media outlet gets the memo about pinball’s resurgence. This time is Business Insider who offers their perspective on the story. It’s not just a passing special interest feature at the end of a newscast. It’s detailed and a good watch. I imagine, in a previous life, I would have shown this to a group of high school students to introduce a history topic that was relevant to my interest. After covering the foundational part of the tale with a review of the history of pinball, Roger Sharpe and Stern Pinball join in to offer their knowledgeable perspectives.

But, what’s this? They also go into tournament play and interview competitive players Andy Bagwell, Nikki Piazza, and Michael Benjamin, General Manger at ENTERRIUM. That’s the venue of many pinball competitions such as the PAPA World Championships.

“… When (the pinball game) is over, it’s over, and then it’s a question … can I play again and do better?”
— Roger Sharpe

(It was nice to see Barry’s Game shown for a few frames.)
