Pinball Reviews reviews Terminator 2. (video below)

Here’s what I would like to happen instead of the repeating, 50 Million Super Jackpot phase:

Start a multiball round in Phase One and lock whatever balls you can like it does already. If you hit the Jackpot, that is now the base value for the Super Jackpot opportunity if you’ve earned one.

Same as what it does now:

  • Lock all three balls for 3X Jackpot.
  • Lock two balls for 2X Jackpot.
  • Lock only one ball in the Skull/Gun for 1X Jackpot, and there is no opportunity for the Super Jackpot.

Then in Phase Two – the Super Jackpot phase:

  • If you still have 3 balls in play when you hit the Super Jackpot it’s worth 3X the base value. This is only available if you locked all 3 balls in Phase One.
  • If you only have 2 balls in play when you hit the Super Jackpot, or you only locked two balls in Phase One which would mean you only have 2 balls available anyway, it’s worth 2X.
  • If you only have one ball in play (like in the video) because you lost the other ball, then the Super Jackpot is only worth 1X.

Key difference: Instead of staying in the Super Jackpot phase, when you hit the Super Jackpot you get an Add-A-Ball with no ball save (if you have less than 3 balls in play), and you go back to Phase One where you lock the balls again to set and collect another Jackpot value.

This would allow you to collect a Super Jackpot of more than 50 Million if you lock all three balls, hit the Jackpot, and collect the Super Jackpot while still having all three balls in play. However, you need to work to get to the next Super Jackpot.

This would also mean that you could resurrect a multiball. If you have only one ball locked for the Super Jackpot (like in the video) and hit the Super Jackpot, you get that Add-A-Ball, and the multiball continues back in Phase One with the two balls.
