Hey, look! It’s another great pinball feature as now PBS Wisconsin gets the memo about how great pinball is. They spotlight Ladies Flip Wisconsin, founded by Rachel Ristow, and it’s home the Diamond Plate Arcade which is located near the City of De Pere.

When I set out to create a pinball club for women, I was just looking for a way to get more women involved in the hobby. Little did I know that I was actually building a women’s community where pinball may be the reason we gather but it’s fellowship that brings us together again and again. 🥰
It takes a village to organize/run any event and I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. Ladies Flip Wisconsin would not exist without the following people: My OG D82 ladies, Becky, Beth, Kassidy & Tara, who all inspired me to start a women’s pinball club. My right-hand TD Matt McCarty for helping build a community. All of our hosts in Green Bay, Racine, Appleton, Oshkosh, Algoma, De Pere, Fort Atkinson, Stevens Point, Plymouth – opening your homes, garages, basements, barns and barcades. Michelle & Dave Anderson for welcoming LFW and providing a home base and all the extras you do not just for womens pinball but for me. Nikie Oshefsky for hosting a special event almost every year and for the card you gave me when you played your first women’s tournament. Jim at Cauldron Falls for saying, sure, he could make some trophies. Darrell for helping me figure out the name. The other women organizers/TDs in the community who have encouraged and helped me along the way. The folks, friends and manufacturers who have monetarily helped me to offset costs or provided swag. If I didn’t mention you, know that you if you have been a part of the LFW journey, that I am grateful. 🥹
MOST IMPORTANTLY — Thank you to every player that has attended a Ladies Flip Wisconsin event — YOU are the reason why I keep organizing as it is truly my pleasure to do so. The story gets it wrong in one regard here – pinball isn’t everything to me. It’s the people. ❤️❤️❤️
