Parody Card: Cat Mode

Instant

Special Effect:
Activate Cat Mode on a character by placing this card on top of it. A cat jumps down on top of them to block their vision, mobility, and concentration. The character’s Dexterity, Intelligence and Charisma are all reduced by 25%.

Conditions
Cat Mode can begin without warning, even while other competitors are playing their turns. While a character is suffering the effects of Cat Mode, they must continue to play on as if nothing has happened. They can only attempt to end Cat Mode on their turn by using another card, item, or spell.

If the character tries to end Cat Mode, roll 1d6. If the result is even, Cat Mode ends and this card is removed from the playfield. If the result is odd, the character loses 5 HP due to an unblockable cat scratch and Cat Mode continues.

Multiple Cat Mode cards can be stacked on one character. This multiplies the effect of Cat Mode by the number of cards stacked. However, the affected character only needs one even-numbered roll to remove all Cat Mode cards attached to them

Notes: Pictured is remarkable pinball Player Francesco La Rocca, Tournament Director of many pinball events in New York and the East Coast of the United States.

At the particular moment shown in the picture, we are taking a break from the competition being held at one of the famous Pin-Maine-ia tournaments in Maine, USA. A special, feline participant has decided to survey the area as we prepare to resume the tournament.

[Previous notes from the original Cat Mode post, back in the day:]

OK, Wait a minute! before you say WTFBBQ, let me explain.

During the Pin-Maine-ia Tournament in Maine this past June, there was a certain cat that patrolled the tournament area. This cat might jump on top of a pinball game at any time without warning. You just had to be ready for it whenever you were playing.

Cat Mode has begun on Eight Ball Deluxe! (Will I survive?)

I decided to dub this special event as Cat Mode.

Cat Mode can start on any pinball game without warning!
* Cat Mode ends either when the cat wants it to end, or if you are brave enough to try to remove the cat and risk getting scratched.
* Cat Mode is like a partial Tommy Mode with extra added danger.

In honor of Cat Mode, I present this new edition to the parody card series
