I had the privilege of playing a live tutorial of Pokémon by Stern Pinball, with Software Developer Tanio Klyce and Game Designer Jack Danger, in front of an audience at Texas Pinball Festival.
While Tanio and Jack were representing Stern, I was an independent representative of … well … myself. So, like the seminar attendees, I wanted to know what updates were being planned for this game.
(Who’s that guy on the far right side?!)
See what happened at the event and how the game was revealed to us. Scan the differences among the trim levels of the Pro, Premium, and Limited Editions. (Insert Pokémon pun here.)
My “first look” review of the game from Stern Media Day
Coded lights, animations, modes and Pokemon battles are shown as part of the gameplay on this homebrew game by Pinsanity.
“Welcome to another Pokémon-packed episode of Eff It Beard Bros!!”
That advice works for every pinball game ever.
Video game reviewer Lara Kate Dale has found a way to use an anime series about volleyball to explain how to get better at pinball.
Sonic Spinball (I liked it!), Sonic Pinball Party (It’s got NiGHTS in it!), Crue Ball (Crank it up!), Flipnic (THE BEST … for about 75 % of it. Then, 2D for no reason.), Necronomicon (Sega Saturn Shiro?! no.), Pokemon Pinball (Gotta flip ’em all!), Time Cruise (Turbo-Grafx 16?)
Who would be “Team Rocket” in this universe, and who would be the “Elite Four” at the end of the journey?
I remember playing this game too much, far too much, years ago.
