The comprehensive, “Definitive Review” of video pinball games (as in ALL of them!) by Indie Gamer Chick (AKA The Pinball Chick) is imminent.
In anticipation of that review series, here is a warmup by YouTuber “i am a dot.” called The Unreality of UNHINGED Pinball.
Brianna Reynolds and Ryan McQuaid will be livestreaming speedruns of Sonic Spinball on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel …
They get into the proverbial nitty-gritty of Sonic, Spinball, American Pinball, truths and untruths, plus a bonus, post-credits scene of extra, last-minute debunking.

Let’s get the emeralds!
This game is packed with features, layering, and strategies. I caught myself smiling a good number of times while watching this. I did not want the video to end.
Video description by Backhand Pinball:
“After restoring his grail machine, Twilight Zone, Ryan decided to move onto his dream project of designing and building his own pinball machine. A year and six months into development we filmed this tutorial and explanation video as the next step in the Sonic Spinball timeline.”
Charriii5 does a CinemaSins-like breakdown of Sega Genesis Sonic Spinball sins.

It’s time for Sonic to get his shields up! Valuable protection for his quest to deal with the Eggman menace.
There is a loop in the Sonic Spinball pinball game, and it works. (Sonic-ing anticipation intensifies greatly)
