Air Defense Deflection

  • A technique used during Multiball to prevent a ball that is heading toward the drain, by using another ball to stop it.
  • When a player has a ball cradled and judges that another ball is about to drain, the player decides to risk losing total control by using the cradled ball to save the other one. Risks like this are taken because of the higher scoring potential that usually exists during Multiball rounds.
