New Pinball Dictionary: Icarus Round

Icarus Round

  • The round in a match play tournament, especially Pinburgh, where a player performs poorly — due to the fact that they had climbed up to a spot in a relatively high group, and as a reward they had to face very good players.
  • The Pinburgh round where a player gets owned after previously performing well above their own perceived level of competition.
