PAPA offers a tutorial on one of my favorite Stern solid state games. Although I do know that game, this tutorial would have been very helpful to the competitors at the MAGFest circuit event.

Quicksilver was part of the qualification lineup, and that game cut thorough queues like a knife through butter. Seriously. People would line up to play the game about 5 or 6 deep. But, turn around after about 5 or 6 minutes, and the queue would only have one left. That’s how much butt the game was kicking.

There are multiple ways to attack this seemingly simple game. So much, that there were debates on how to go after this game all during the MAGFest qualifications.

Bowen Kerins visits PAPA Headquarters and plays the Quicksilver pinball game created by Stern in 1980.
