Patience. I just finished talking with someone about how patience is the watchword. Sometimes I’ll find myself losing patience. Then, I remember than I am playing pinball and pinball is fun, and sometime even profitable.
What do I like to listen to when I play pinball? The game. As in the pinball game I am playing. The music that indicates the mode. The warning sound that indicates the ball is coming. The sound that tells you the shot is scoring differently than it was beforehand. The rhythm of a repeatable shot. The sound effect that indicates a shot was made. Or almost made. The bells, bleeps and bloops that indicate tens, hundreds and thousands on an EM or early solid state game. For me, those are the most important sounds to hear.
Speaking of sounds. RIP headphone users at about 17:00 minutes into the podcast.
“A chat about captaining our own respective pinball teams leads us down the path of inner calm. Find out how to lose gracefully, what music we listen to while playing, and how Kevin started getting invited to parties again.”
