My dad saw an opportunity in Chicago. He was building a business like any entrepreneur, and he thought being a manufacturer would be a good idea. He came here in 1947, as a 35-year-old ‘punk’ kid, and asked Harry Williams, one of his suppliers and the owner of Williams Pinball Co. to sell him the company.
I’m a sneak [pinball] player. I go to a lot of trade and enthusiasts’ shows and play there. I like to play pinball. It’s important for me to perpetuate. It’s my family’s history and avocation.
